We are the first pet food bank in Pike County and are dedicated to providing assistance to pet owners facing hardship.
We are NOT to replace the shelter nor are we an animal Shelter - we like to facilitate however a Foster program - we need a volunteer for that -
we do not have animals for foster or adoption available - we do not shelter animals. We only bring the parties together.
If you have any computer skills - we need you. If you can spare 1-2 hours per week we love to talk to you.

As of February 2, 2010, we will conduct business as Milford Pet Food Pantry - our mission is to provide assistants to economically stressed pet owners.
By coming to the aid of pet owners and help them to keep their beloved pets instead of abandoning the pets to shelters or worse.
A donation of $5 -10 would help feed two or more cats for a month, or feed one or more medium sized dogs for two to three weeks.
Without our dedicated sponsors, donors, and community, we couldn't continue to help those facing tough decisions.
Please consider by volunteering or making a donation today.
All donations can be delivered to our temporary site generously donated by Donna Hamilton, located across from the Milford Museum in the same
building as 7 Street Cafe- we are around the corner.
Our operating hours are: Tuesday 3-6pm for the time being until we have more volunteers.
Please realize that these hours may change at any time so it is a good idea to call ahead and see if we are open -
we also love to answer any questions that you may have. The Food Pantry will open officially March 15.2010 and we hope to
distribute food every two weeks to needy pet owner.
Please find below some of our guidelines:
One applicant per household
If one would be comfortable allowing us to take a picture of them and/or their pet, we encourage clients to bring a pet when they pick up food.
We ask for a donation at the time one receives food; whatever amount one can afford; but we do not require it.
We strive to provide a two week supply of pet food per household, up to the legal number of pets set by Pa. law (4 cats and/or 4 dogs). Clients may return twice in one month, receiving assistance for 3 months in a 4 month period.
Food is distributed two days a week. Please call (570 765 3627) to verify what days or if there are any cancellations or changes in our schedule.
We offer temporary assistance for feeding pets. We are not to be used as a permanent source of pet food.
We reserve the right to refuse anyone under any circumstance, such as someone who is seen as a habitual recipient
(continuously comes for food).
We ask for personal information when one applies but do not share it with anyone and all information is kept strictly confidential.
No one in the household is to resell food or items provided by the Pantry. If we find out the food or item(s) was resold,
the household and all members involved will be banned from assistance indefinitely.
We consider special requests for certain formulas or flavors of dog and cat food (i.e.. Senior, Indoor, etc),
but are only able to give what we have at the time the request is made.
All potential recipients must come to our distribution site in order to receive pet food. We are working on more sites
but only have one at this time.
We reserve the right to make exceptions based on individual need.
We will not provide pet food for those intentionally breeding their animals.
All recipients must agree to not have any animal outside, on a rope or chain 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you are part of a rescue group and am picking up food for that group or for fostered animals, please provide proof of your involvement.
We are providing a service to the community and ask that recipients receive only as much food as they need.
 Donations:
We accept all kinds of pet food and pet related items
(Leashes,Pet Bedding,Kitty Litter,Pet Toys, and cash that will be used to purchase pet food and to keep the Pantry going)
(Please know your donation receipt will come from 'mylife-mywill' our non-profit group).
By accepting food and/or services from the Pantry, the recipient, all household members, their friends and family agree not to
hold the Pantry, its staff, volunteers, and benefactors legally liable in the unfortunate event the recipient's pet(s) becomes ill or the
food upsets the pet's stomach.
When one receives pet food from the Pantry, they are made aware of the potential risks involved with feeding their
pet(s) a new food, since it's unlikely the pet food received is the recipient's usual brand(s).
Please print the document in whole, fill it out, sign, and bring it with you at the time you pick up pet food.
